Sudardshan Kala Kendra is a coconut shell handicraft centre located on the scenic island of Diwar in Tisawdi, Goa.
Coconut tree is referred to as Kalpavruksha in Indian Society. Each part of this tree is useful in some form or the other. Several new dimensions are added to the use of this special plant by the varying utility products made and sold at Sudarshan Kala Kendra. The range of items made at the centre vary from pen stands to soap cases and showpieces to earrings all made from coconut and driftwood. The raw material used for the beautiful artifacts prepared at the centre are naturally available, durable and biodegradable. |

Artisans at Sudarshan Kala Kendra are constantly experimenting with the natures gift at their disposal to create beautiful pieces of art. For the artisans their art is itself a form of worship. This fact can be seen from the quality of products produced by them and the variety they have introduced in the product range.
